###    How do I become a member of the 1636 Society?  expand\_more  

 You can join this loyal community of donors by [giving a gift to Harvard College](https://community.alumni.harvard.edu/give/16040771) or the [Graduate School of Arts and Sciences](https://community.alumni.harvard.edu/give/16039782) in two consecutive fiscal years or signing on as a recurring donor to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Outright gifts, pledge payments, and multiyear pledges count toward membership. Please note that Harvard’s fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Gifts to the Senior Class Gift Campaign also count toward membership. Matching gifts do not apply.

 You can renew your membership by [making a gift through the Harvard College Fund](https://community.alumni.harvard.edu/give/16040771) or [Graduate School Fund](https://community.alumni.harvard.edu/give/16039782) and continuing to give on an annual basis. Harvard’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

 As long as at least one spouse/partner has made a gift, pledge payment, or multiyear pledge through the [Harvard College Fund](https://community.alumni.harvard.edu/give/16040771) or [Graduate School Fund](https://community.alumni.harvard.edu/give/16039782), both spouses/partners are considered members.
